Profile

I lead when work crosses teams, contractors, and regulation. Six years of airport leadership at Sonoma County Airport, from 2017 to 2023, plus earlier airport operations at Fresno. Contract and supplier work includes 500+ agreements tracked at Embry-Riddle. I supported a terminal project of about $40 million while flights continued. I did not manage that construction budget.

Experience

April 2026–October 2026

Founder and product lead · TarmacSync

Independent airport-procurement venture. Built a usable minimum viable product, demonstrated it to peers, and paused development before a customer launch in October 2026.

  • Defined the product vision, architecture, and rules-based buying-path methodology; built the initial deterministic MVP using airport procurement and funding knowledge.
  • Directed and worked alongside a contract developer over two months on regulatory-document retrieval, AI-agent workflows, login, and security improvements.
  • Created the website, calls to action, and marketing journey; built custom AI skills and tested them across models and agents. TarmacSync was accepted into the Google for Startups Cloud Program and received $2,000 in Google Cloud credits, alongside $2,000 in Neon credits.

Family sabbatical and travel · planned career break

Family travel through Southeast Asia; began more regular use of AI tools around January 2024.

August 2017–March 2023

Assistant Airport Manager · Sonoma County Airport

Promoted to Assistant Airport Manager after two months as Airport Administrative Manager. Oversaw daily operations, maintenance, security, and badging. Served as Airport Safety Coordinator and primary Transportation Security Administration (TSA) contact.

  • Led the airport and its 25 staff in the Airport Manager’s absence. Supervised operations, maintenance, security, and administrative staff, and trained staff on response procedures and when to escalate.
  • Moved FAA Part 139 inspections from paper to App 139 on iPads after interviewing vendors and evaluating cost, usability, and training needs. Linked photos and map pins to work orders, improving accountability, speeding closure, and making records easier to review during annual FAA inspections.
  • Coordinated operational and security changes for the $40M terminal modernization while flights continued. Worked with airlines, TSA, and project teams on phased holdroom access and passenger flow, drafted TSA Part 1542 changed-conditions submissions and permanent Airport Security Program amendments with diagrams, and oversaw contractor badging and access training.
  • Coordinated staffing and aircraft rescue and firefighting coverage with the FAA inspector so the airport could provide county mutual aid while maintaining its Part 139 coverage requirements.
  • Issued requests for proposals and quotations (RFPs/RFQs), evaluated submissions, and managed contractor performance. Led a Passenger Facility Charge application from start to finish.
  • Developed operating procedures and coordinated safety audits, preventive maintenance, all-staff safety training, and FAA and TSA emergency exercises.
  • Served as primary operational contact for the AirBadge digital badging pilot, translating airport requirements and coordinating the audit approach with TSA.
